It’s been a busy—and very creative—weekend at artkohaus. ✨
I’ve spent much of the weekend drawing, experimenting, and putting the finishing touches on four new patterns that I’m so excited to introduce: Saturday at the Market, Wild Stems, Meadow Marks, and Petal Study.
A lot of the inspiration behind these designs came from something wonderfully simple: my nature walks.
There’s something about stepping outside and slowing down enough to notice the little things—the shapes of leaves and flowers, the way plants scatter naturally along a pathway, unexpected colours, tiny details, and all those wonderfully imperfect forms found in nature. Those moments often find their way back into my sketchbook.
And, of course, I haven’t been walking alone. My two trusty sidekicks, Rollo and Onree, have been keeping me company along the way. 🐾 Between their curious sniffing stops and my constant habit of noticing plants and thinking, “That would make a great pattern,” our walks have become a pretty wonderful part of the creative process.
This weekend, all that inspiration turned into a bit of a drawing marathon as I worked on these four new designs:

Each has its own personality, but together they feel like little snapshots of the things that have been inspiring me lately—nature, everyday moments, organic shapes, and the simple joy of creating something by hand.
My hand may be a little tired after all that drawing, but I’m incredibly excited to finally share them with you. 😂
