Ogee Rhythm
A playful exploration of shape, colour, and repetition, Ogee Rhythm reimagines the classic ogee through a distinctly modern lens.
Created entirely in Adobe Illustrator, the pattern began as an experiment in geometric construction—no sketches, no hand-drawn motifs, just curves, colour, and a little curiosity. Interlocking ogee forms move across the surface in a steady visual rhythm, shifting between warm coral, soft peach, blush pink, creamy neutrals, muted periwinkle, and rich earthy brown.
The result feels both retro and contemporary: structured without being rigid, colourful without becoming loud, and simple enough to let the rhythm of the repeat take centre stage.
A little departure from artkohaus’s more illustrative patterns—and a reminder that sometimes it’s fun to put the sketchbook aside and simply play with geometry.
